Helping Leaders, Students, and Organizations Move Forward with Clarity and Purpose
Finance. Leadership. Mentorship. Service.
Dave Franckowiak believes that our legacy is shaped by the relationships we build and the impact we have on other people’s lives. That belief has guided his career as a CFO, educator, mentor, nonprofit volunteer, colleague, and friend.
Across every role, Dave’s focus is consistent: helping others move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Teaching the Next Generation of Business Leaders
Dave is an Adjunct Faculty member at DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business, where he teaches Accounting and Business courses, including BUS 101: Business Fundamentals & the Entrepreneurial Mindset.
Teaching gives Dave the opportunity to help students understand how business and financial information connect to opportunity, growth, and sound decision-making.
Beyond the classroom, he mentors students on career development, relationship building, professional presence, and the importance of building a meaningful network.
Service, Stewardship, and Community Involvement
Dave believes strongly in giving back to the organizations and communities that matter to him.
He currently serves as:
- Treasurer, Lake Maxinkuckee Environmental Fund
- Recording Officer, Maxinkuckee Yacht Club
- Advisory Board Member, Ledger & Quill, the donor society for the School of Accountancy at DePaul University
Through these roles, Dave contributes his financial expertise, leadership experience, and commitment to stewardship in service of education, community, and environmental preservation.
Strategic Financial Guidance for Growing Businesses
Dave works with entrepreneurs, founders, and privately held companies that need experienced financial leadership without the commitment of a full-time CFO.
Many businesses reach a point where financial management becomes too complex for a bookkeeper, but the organization is not yet ready for a full-time executive finance leader. Dave helps bridge that gap.
He brings practical, hands-on CFO advisory support that combines financial discipline, business judgment, and real-world operating experience.
A Practical Finance Leader
Dave began his career in audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers and later served in senior finance leadership roles, including Controller, Vice President of Finance, and Chief Financial Officer.
His experience spans privately held and private-equity-backed companies, giving him a practical understanding of the challenges leaders face as organizations grow, change, and become more complex.
That background shapes Dave’s advisory approach: rigorous, thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in what actually works inside a business.
Built on Relationships. Focused on Impact.
Whether Dave is advising a business owner, mentoring a student, supporting a nonprofit, connecting people across his network, or helping a leadership team make a better financial decision, his purpose remains the same: To help people and organizations move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
